The area boats several haunts this Hallowween, which include Selma Mansion in Norristown, the former home of Andrew Porter, a revolutionary soldier and founder of the U.S. Marine Corps. On October 24, the Pennsylvania Underground Paranormal Society (P.U.P.S.) taunts you to spend the night in this abandoned home to find out for yourself.
Back in the 1800s, Spring Mountain was a stone quarry - until a mysterious fire tragically wiped out all the quarrymen and their families. Legend has it their spirits roam the mountain, especially in October when the site transforms into Scream Mountain. Chilling chairlift rides take you up the dark side of the mountain and forces you to grope your way back down to escape the tortured vengeful souls.
At LuLu's House of Horrors, awarded Victim's Choice on hauntedhouseratings.com, a nightmarish wagon ride through the woods takes you past the haunted graveyard to the zany horror house -.a must for if you're a real thrill seeker.
The "Hellavator" only goes to the 13th floor at Scare World, inside Arnold's Family Fun Center in Oaks. The Toxic Waste Lab and the "Hexecution" Chamber provide plenty of chills and thrills, as creepy crawly creatures come out at every corner.
Meet separated lovers Elizabeth Graeme Fergusson and Henry Hugh Fergusson who supposedly still inhabit the grounds at Graeme Park. Moonlight Tours on Fridays, October 21 and 28, feature live theater performances that shed light on their history and past encounters.
