Directions to the Valley Forge National Historical Park

Welcome Center: Daily, 9am-5pm - Closed New Year's Day: Easily accessible from the Valley Forge exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, the park is located at Route 23 and North Gulph Road, Valley Forge, PA.

Driving Directions

From Philadelphia, New Jersey and points southeast via I-76 Schuylkill Expressway west:

  1. I-76 Schuylkill Expressway west to US 422 west
  2. Follow the signs and take the Route 23 West Valley Forge National Historical Park exit
  3. Turn right at the exit ramp and go straight to the park.

From Baltimore, Wilmington, DE, and points southeast, via US 202 north:

  1. US 202 north to US 422 west
  2. US 422 west to Route 23 west (1.8 miles)
  3. Turn right at the exit ramp and merge to the center lane
  4. Park entrance is straight ahead

From New York and points northeast via the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

  1. I-276 Pennsylvania Turnpike west to Exit 326
  2. Exit 326 for Valley Forge **Use the right side of the tollbooth
  3. Turn Right at N. Gulph Road immediately after the tollbooth
  4. Travel on N. Gulph Road (1.8 miles)
  5. Park entrance is on the left at the Route 23 traffic light

From Harrisburg and points west via the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

  1. I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike east to Exit 326
  2. Exit 326 for Valley Forge **Use the right side of the tollbooth
  3. Turn Right at N. Gulph Road immediately after the tollbooth
  4. Travel on N. Gulph Road (1.8 miles)
  5. Park entrance is on the left at the Route 23 traffic light

From Pottstown and Reading PA, and points northwest, via US 422 east:

  1. Exit at Route 23 west
  2. Turn right at the exit ramp and merge to the center lane
  3. Park entrance is straight ahead

It is open year-round from dawn to dusk, and the Visitor Center and other park buildings are open 9 am-5pm daily.
