Fun in the Sun
On a nice day, you can start out at the Upper Schuylkill Valley Park. This isn’t any normal park, this park has a permanent outdoor animal exhibit with ducks, turkeys, and even wolves! When you’re finished exploring, take the Schuylkill River Trail up to Lock 29, where you can enjoy a nice burger, while overlooking the beautiful Schuylkill River. To finish your day of fun in the sun, cool off with some frozen yogurt at Providence Town Center’s Kiwi Frozen Yogurt!
Rainy Day Adventures
Who says the fun has to stop due to a little rain? On rainy summer days, the King of Prussia Mall is the perfect place to be. With tons of shops and eateries, there’s plenty to do in this one-stop shop! Shop around at some high-end stores, or grab a bite to eat at Yard House! With their kitchen open late, you can be sure that you will have plenty of time to shop and dine!
Afterward, head down US-422 to get to the American Treasure Tour in Oaks. Located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, this family-friendly, affordable museum is a great stop for a rainy day. Enjoy looking at hundreds of musical machines, model airplanes, dolls, and antique automobiles!
Explore Local History
For our history buffs, no need to worry - Montgomery County has plenty of historical sites to visit! Head over to the scenic Bryn Athyn Historic District for a day of historical fun. The Bryn Athyn Historic District includes three places of interest: Cairnwood Estate, The Bryn Athyn Cathedral, and the Glencairn Museum. All the buildings were constructed between 1892 and 1938, and the Historic District was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2008. Afterward, you can cool off from the summer heat at Hick's Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor!
