Day One:  

Red Buffalo Ranch

Morning: Experience the wild side of Montco at the Elmwood Park Zoo, where you can meet dozens of animals from mammals to reptiles. Catch a show at the theatre or ride on an animal-themed carousel during your visit. You can even attend the zoo’s Breakfast with the Giraffes. Enjoy an outdoor breakfast buffet, located next to the giraffe exhibit. Then, enjoy an exclusive giraffe feeding! Tickets also include zoo admission. Then, explore the lush landscape near the flowing waters of Skippack Creek, Evansburg State Park is a scenic park that’s a favorite of picnickers, hikers, and if you’re up for an adventure take a horseback ride at Red Buffalo Ranch . 

Afternoon: Explore Skippack Village, with lunch at Skippack Italian Market & stroll thru the Village, stop into Blossoms Café for some delicious coffee or a sampling of Brothers Kershner’s Beer. Then experience one of the main attractions in Montco, Valley Forge National Historical Park. Here you can retrace the steps of the nation’s first president, George Washington, and the Continental Army. Arrange for a step-on guide provided by The Encampment Store. Free Step on guides are provided to guests through 2025 when staying overnight in a Montgomery County, PA hotel. Evening: Enjoy dinner at City Works Eatery & Pour House then shopping at King of Prussia Town Center. Overnight accommodation is available in King of Prussia, PA. 

 

Day Two:  

Highland mansion 2

Morning: Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and head over to The Highlands Mansion and Gardens (highlandshistorical.org). The Highlands is a 59-acre historic site with a late 18th-century Georgian mansion and a two-acre formal garden. 

Afternoon: Head over to GYPSY BLU - Home (gypsyblurestaurant.com) for lunch and visit Ambler’s Downtown District to do some shopping. Next visit and tour Bryn Athyn Historic District (bahistoricdistrict.org).  The Bryn Athyn Historic District includes John Pitcairn’s Beaux-Arts mansion, Cairnwood, and the renowned Bryn Athyn Cathedral. All were constructed between 1892 and 1938. The Bryn Athyn Historic District was designated as a National Historic Landmark on October 6, 2008. 

Evening: For dinner, stop by Maggiano’s for a delicious meal. Swing around the block to King of Prussia Mall to do some shopping after or see a show with dinner at People’s Light. Many options for overnight accommodations are available in King of Prussia, PA.

Interior of American Treasure Tour 

If any of these activities don’t spark your interest, there are plenty of other options Montco has in store! Pay a visit to the American Treasure Tour, showcasing a display of Americana memorabilia including classic muscle cars, music, and more. A guided tram tour takes visitors through decades of American history. Or visit Playcrafters of Skippack Live Theatre, an award nominated theater featuring comedies, dramas, musicals, and thrillers. You can also stop by A Taste of Britain- English Tea Room & Café for an authentic British tearoom experience right here in Montco. More shopping options include the Philadelphia Premium Outlets and the Willow Grove Park Mall. Other gardens and cultural attractions to visit include Stoneleigh, Woodmont Estate, Historic Trappe and Pennypacker Mills. Finally, TopGolf is a popular destination to visit as well! There is an activity for everyone here in Montco.
